Alton Local Food Initiative (ALFI) held its annual seedling swap as part of Alton Town Council’s spring fayre in the Public Gardens.

Committee members and supporters staffed the stall under the council marquee and helped identify seedlings for visitors.

People with no seedlings to swap could make a donation and take some away.

Roger Baker grew many seedlings for the stall, including runner beans, climbing beans and peppers.

There were also herb, fruit, vegetable and flower seedlings, including marigolds and geraniums.

The donations helped ALFI develop its plots and planters in Alton. To help ALFI or get a quarterly newsletter visit www.altonlocalfood.org.uk
