THE events co-ordinator at the Kingsley Centre took to the Wessex Ridgeway to raise funds for the centre by walking the 138 miles from Marlborough, in Wiltshire, to Lyme Regis, in Dorset.

Fiona Trout, joined by volunteer Jill Ricketts and Labrador dog Caro, walked for seven days to finish the route, which took them past and over the stone circles in Avebury, the Vale of Pewsey, Salisbury Plain, the Wylye Valley and Win Greene Hill. More than £1,000 was collected in in sponsorship money for the Kingsley organisation.
