My Working Week: Before burnout becomes crisis‘Echoes of Erie Camp’ from 3.30pm to 6pm on Saturday, October 13 at Woodlands Hall, Larch Road, Headley Down, is an unique opportunity to bring photos, mementos and stories and view historic photos and newspaper cuttings, and meet up with old friends.
Children can hear what it was like to ride to school on a tank, make your bike out of scrap and find a bomb.
Trust chairman Angela Jackson said: “We’ve had a great response to our call for information about the days of the Erie Camp, now the site of the Heatherlands Estate in Headley Down.
“Times were certainly tough for people who lived in the Erie Camp huts after WW2 but the recollections of those days are overwhelmingly cheerful. This will be an afternoon of sharing those memories.”
