A women-only running community is set to launch in Bordon later this month following strong local demand.
She Strides, which has grown rapidly across the Home Counties, will hold its first session in the town on Wednesday, April 30. The group aims to provide a safe, supportive and social environment for women of all abilities to run together.
Organisers say the initiative focuses on removing barriers that often prevent women from taking part in exercise, with an emphasis on community rather than competition.
She Strides is a rapidly expanding women-only running community. Founded on the principles of inclusivity and empowerment, it provides safe spaces for women to exercise together, supported by experienced pacers and a vibrant social scene.
The launch event will offer flexible route options of 3km and 5km, designed to cater for both beginners and more experienced runners. Dedicated pacers will lead each group to ensure no participant is left behind and that everyone feels supported.
Following the opening session, the Bordon group will meet every Thursday evening for regular runs timed around sunset, creating a consistent weekly opportunity for women to exercise and socialise.
A spokesperson for She Strides said: “The feedback from women in Hampshire has been incredible, and the message was clear: Bordon wanted a club of its own.
“We don’t care how fast you go; we care that you show up for yourself. We’re excited to see the Bordon community grow starting this April.”
The launch event will conclude with a post-run social and raffle, offering participants the chance to connect and celebrate the new club.
Registration is now open via the She Strides website, with organisers encouraging early sign-ups to secure a place at the launch event.
