SIX candidates are in the running for the £85,000-a-year job as thr first police and crime commissioner of Hampshire.

The election for the new post takes place on November 15 and the successful candidate will take up office on November 22.
This is part of a nationwide series of elections to replace local police authorities with a crime commissioner.
The elected commissioners will not run the police but will be responsible for holding the chief constable to account on the public's behalf.
