A Holybourne school has been hit for six as a two-day fundraising drive at a Hampshire cricket centre has raised a staggering £39,000.
Organisers of The Dummer Fair delivered two unforgettable days of shopping, community spirit and generosity in support of Treloar’s School and College.
The October 8 and 9 event at Dummer Cricket Centre attracted more than 1,000 visitors and included more than 90 hand-picked stalls.
Everything from festive gifts, artisan food and drink to fashion, homewares and luxury treats was on sale at the with organisations hailing the fair as their most “vibrant” yet with a fantastic atmosphere from start to finish.
The headline sponsors were Phillip Law whose team were visible throughout the event, greeting guests with drinks on the preview evening and supporting Treloar’s students as they handed out shopping bags.
“Their enthusiasm and hands-on support helped create a warm and memorable experience for every visitor,” said a spokesperson, with the recipients also thanking the firm.
“We would like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful Dummer Fair sponsors, Phillips Law, for their fantastic support in their first year sponsoring the event,” said a spokesperson for Treloar’s School and College.
“We’re so grateful for their support in raising vital funds for our students.”
Generous contributions from BCM, Wilson Hill and The Ultimate Travel Company also made the fair a “standout success” but organisers are thankful to every sponsor, stallholder, volunteer and shopper who came along.
They added: “All the funds raised will directly support young disabled people to learn, grow and achieve greater independence.
“The Dummer Fair Committee are thrilled to continue a much-loved Hampshire tradition that brings together exceptional shopping with life-changing impact - the countdown to next year has already begun.”
