HAMPSHIRE is expected to see snow flurries later this week, the Met Office has warned.

Rain will likely turn to sleet and snow in places during Wednesday night across southern England before clearing away on Thursday morning.

Some places will see rain or sleet rather than snow, but at least for some there may be a covering of snow.

A severe weather warning has been issued, urging people to be aware of the possibility of disruption to travel.
