A GIANT snow globe, teased in last week’s Herald, was set to arrive in Castle Street, Farnham, on Tuesday as part of hit Netflix show The Witcher’s promotional tour - but its visit was postponed because of Storm Barra.
The 18ft snow globe, featuring the Miriapod monster from season two of the show, embarked on a tour of the UK last weekend, making its first stop in Birmingham then heading to Manchester and Glasgow.
On its journey, the snow globe will surprise locals by also appearing in market places close to key season two filming locations, including Farnham (near to Bourne Woods and Frensham Ponds).
As an extension to the Snow Globe, a QR code will activate an Instagram AR filter, unleashing the Miriapod from the ground, towering over fans and curious passers by!
A new date for the snow globe’s Farnham’s visit is to be confirmed.
The Witcher season two premieres globally on Netflix on December 17.
Based on the best-selling fantasy series of books, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family.
The story of the intertwined destinies of three individuals in the vast world of The Continent, where humans, elves, witchers, gnomes, and monsters battle to survive and thrive, and where good and evil is not easily identified.
