It was a day in the sun for the people of Bordon as Hogmoor Distillery hosted the Whitehill & Bordon community fundraiser last week.
After years of missing out, the hard work of the carnival committee is beginning to pay off as they prepare for their big event on Sunday, October 18.
The carnival will see 20 floats make their way down the streets of Whitehill & Bordon before concluding at the Shed for food and drinks.

University students helped create the event with games , face painting, food and fun. Many students also came down to showcase their own crafts and bakes.
Local business also got involved with Jade Fleming from Jade’s Little Studio there to face paint expecting many children to ask for K-Pop Demon Hunter style art.

As guest entered the event they were greeted with a card with various games to gain stickers for to win a prize.
Mayor Catherine Clark said: “ I’m very impressed with what the students have achieved and hopefully they raise a lot of money for our carnival. I think the carnival will be a wonderful event, thanks to the hard work of the community groups, churches as well as Liphook and Farnham Carnival who have help guide us a long the way.
Aneesha Maria Simon said: “ It was great to see the mayor down at the event considering this will be one of the last events she will open as mayor.
“The hardest challenge was transport and logistics being based at the University of Guildford and having no one on the team who could drive it was difficult to arrange but thanks to Hogmoor Distillery we made it all happen.
“Unfortunately some of us won’t be able to attend the carnival in October as we will be travelling home but we hope it will be a great event for all.”
