A charity based in Ramsdean is encouraging people to take part in its latest fundraising event.
Hounds for Heroes is holding a swimathon from October to December 24. Inviting swimmers of all ages and abilities to take on the challenge of swimming 21 miles, the equivalent distance of the English Channel.
The event has been supported by former Olympic swimmer Katy Sexton MBE.

“This swimming challenge is achievable for all ages and fitness levels. We'll give you a medal on completion of your challenge. We'll also provide you with a poster and a certificate.”
Every single penny raised will go towards the purchase, training and placement of assistance dogs to the charity’s beneficiaries.
