A TABLE-TOP sale on Saturday at Whitehill village hall raised £333.30 for an anti-poverty charity.

The event, supported by St Matthew’s Church in Blackmoor, generated the funds for Tearfund.

Organiser Jenny Clarke described the event as “a great morning”.

Tearfund is a UK Christian, relief and development agency and works in more than 50 countries, providing help to poor communities and vulnerable people. The charity is also one of 13 UK charities that comprise the Disasters Emergency Committee - an umbrella organisation which launches and co-ordinates responses to major disasters overseas and enables the British public to donate to British aid agencies.

Pictured at the sale are Ros Clark, Lucy Clark, Evie Clarke, Molly Shar, and Fiona and Alexandra Daley. Picture order no: BD17-103-16.
