Inspired by the movie Bohemian Rhapsody – and all lifelong Queen fans – a small group of local teachers decided to form a Queen tribute band.
What began as a passing conversation in a school corridor took off when the band were heard in performance by Petersfield agent and events manager Chris Pellett, who signed them immediately.
The band said: "We are all teachers during the day and rock stars by night - well, in our minds anyway.
"When we told our wives and partners what we were doing they told us how tragic they thought it was - and so we adopted the name It’s A Kind Of Tragic. "Don’t be put off though. We love Queen music and we do it justice with full-on musical and visual performances, just as Queen themselves did.
"So please come and join us and relive classic Queen music and performance including a re-enactment of the legendary 1985 Live Aid set, generally agreed to be one of the greatest ever performances by a rock band."
Warming up the audience will be local singer-songwriter James Joe. Seating will be at round tables - cabaret style - and food and drink will be available.
Tickets, priced £7, are available from ticketsource.co.uk/hm-collective and any profits will go to the charity Butser Home-Start.
