A DANCE and drama school with a group in Bordon is merging with another Hampshire performing-arts school.

The Hilary Bishop Schools of Dance and Drama, running for 45 years in Bordon, Headley, Grayshott and Alton, is joining forces with the YEM Theatre School, running for 30 years in Fleet and Farnborough.

To celebrate the merger, parents were treated to a demonstration of the Hilary Bishop Schools’ latest work. Ballet, tap, modern dance and musical theatre were presented, and the drama group performed A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The YEM Theatre School was due to present a show at the Princes Hall, Aldershot, this month.

The merger is intended to increase both schools’ abilities to carry on producing young talent for the professional stage.
