THE Quantum Theatre will present two traditional festive family shows at Gilbert White’s Field Studies Centre in Selborne next week.

The matinee performance, from 2.30pm-4.30pm on Saturday, December 10, will feature The Snow Queen while in the evening, from 7.30pm-9.30pm, the audience will be transported back to Victorian London with a rendition of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

During the afternoon, youngsters will be invited to join friends Kay and Gerda as they battle with The Snow Queen in the depths of the North Pole. While the evening will present an opportunity to enjoy the journey of the miserly Scrooge as he is haunted by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future.

Adapted and directed by Michael Whitmore, Quantum Theatre’s delightful new production captures all the warmth and humanity, anguish and eerie portent of this festive classic.
