Seat Leon driver wanted after dangerous getaway from police in LissHollie Destecroix suffered a few last-minute nerves before opening Dessies Cake Bake in the former 1984 bar and beauty salon on 10 Station Road.
But she’s had a latte love from villagers with things settling like chocolate sprinkles on a cappuccino since the early January launch.
She said: “I’ve worked in cafes and restaurants for years and years and it’s always been a lifelong dream to have my own café and now I finally have it.
“To finally open feels amazing. I had to push myself to have an opening day but it’s been really positive and everyone has been so lovely.”
Joining her behind the counter is friend and colleague Leah with the owner going for a “someone’s lounge” feel with coffee and delicious Baby Spice cakes on the menu.
