DESCRIBING them as "garden grabbing", Whitehill Town Council planners gave the thumbs down to two applications on Monday.
The first was for a pair of semi-detached houses at Sydney House, Sydney Road, about which chairman Faith Thomas said: "These are to be built in what is garden space with little parking and it could still be a three-car family who live here, husband wife and teenager."
