PEOPLE in Whitehill and Bordon residents found new ways to stay fit and healthy at the Spring Into Health Festival.

More than 120 people visited the festival, at Mill Chase Leisure Centre in Mill Chase Road, and tried out activities including running, swimming and walking.

The free event gave visitors the chance to speak to representatives from sports groups - including the Liss Runners and the Alton Runners (pictured) - to sign up for sessions and to take part. There was also a free healthy brunch provided by Radian’s RKdia catering.

Residents signed up for a number of classes and, such was the interest, the Runnyhoneys women’s running group committed to launching a club in the town.

The event was organised by East Hampshire District Council as part of Whitehill and Bordon’s Healthy New Town status.
