TRELOAR’S Future Fest, now in its 20th year, continues to offer an opportunity for students to meet service providers from a variety of sectors.
Advocacy services, care organisations, motability services, universities and activity providers were on hand at this year’s event on February 9, with 40 charities and organisations taking part.
The event was established in 1998 to fulfil the Treloar’s aim of helping to prepare students to live as independently as possible once they leave the school or college.
Treloar’s continues to encourage its students to make choices relevant to their future lifestyles.
Feedback from exhibitors and attendees was overwhelmingly positive.
One parent commented: “We felt that the event gave us an excellent view of the possibilities for our son’s supported living beyond college.”
And one of the exhibitors said: “We had a lovely time meeting with families, staff and students, it was a very positive experience. It was a well-organised event with a wide range of information available.”
