THERE will have been some busy gardeners last weekend judging by the number of plants sold at Treloar School, Holybourne, as their plant sale last Saturday raised a record £3,500 for school funds.

Plants were the main attraction but there were also stalls selling beauty products, cakes, jams and preserves, as well as refreshments.

“It has been one of their best plant sales,” said school representative Claire Kercher, who added: “We also had some generous donations from local businesses and parents and a very popular raffle.”
