Petersfield Golf Club swung into action for Remembrance as a special competition raised £1,175 for one of the town’s most loved charities.
The event in aid of Dementia Friendly Petersfield and was organised by former RN Officer Richard Williams and contested by 20 members who are veterans from all services.
The Stableford competition won by former Royal Marine Bruce Alexander started with a two-minute silence with Mr Williams hailing the fundraising total as a “staggering amount and a great result.”
The club is also a staunch supporter and fundraiser for the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
