THERE could be a possibility of Pinewood Village Hall reopening, members of Whitehill Town Council’s executive committee heard at their latest meeting.

The hall in Rydal Close, Bordon, is owned by East Hampshire District Council but closed last October after its manager, the Whitehill & Bordon Community Association, said it was not viable.

An association spokesman said at the time: “There were only four users and I know that at least three of them have relocated.”

Town councillor Josh Chandler expressed concern to the district council that it was still boarded up.

A response from East Hampshire’s deputy leader Cllr Julie Butler was read out by town council leader Cllr Andy Tree.

Cllr Butler said: “The executive board and cabinet will be presented with a proposal for use shortly.

“Due to circumstances beyond our control there have been delays in the process.

"But the council wants to ensure that all appropriate consideration has been given before advising the community, and of course fellow councillors, on the way forward.”
