A BORDON man has been volunteering at the 24th World Scout Jamboree in America.

Lee Robinson was stadium security team leader for the international service team of 6,000 adults who ran the four-yearly event in West Virginia for 45,000 Scouts.

Speaking beforehand, he said: “I am really looking forward to working with a team of volunteers from around the globe – it’ll test my leadership, communication and organisational skills.

"Seeing more than 50,000 Scouts and volunteers from all over the world in one huge camp, sharing experiences and cultures and laughing together, will be amazing.”
