PEOPLE in Whitehill and Bordon have been urged to get involved in Thursday's by-elections.

The council sent leaflets bearing the slogan "If you Love your Town - Vote For It" to households in the three areas that will see an election.

Four new councillors will be voted onto Whitehill Town Council to represent residents in Hogmoor, Deadwater and Whitehill Walldown wards.

Returning officer Sandy Hopkins said: "The residents of Bordon and Whitehill really love where they live and the work of Whitehill Town Council is a big part of that," she said.

"It's really important voters show how much they care about their town thro-ugh these local elections. If you love your town, come out and vote for it.

"You can vote at polling stations on August 8 or if you have applied for a postal vote you can use that up to the day of the election. This is your chance to get involved in how your town is managed into the future."
