WHEN David Gibb joined the Woolmer Forest U3A little did he know that in two years he would become the chairman of the 140-member group.

During his three-year reign, his main aim, as the new chairman, is to encourage communication.

Not just more communication between the members - although they are already a friendly, thriving group - but between other U3As in the area. He also wants to make residents in Whitehill and Bordon more aware of the University of the Third Age (U3A) group in the town.
