Friday, May 5:

People’s Playlist Party’ from 8pm to 1am at the Izaak Walton. Choose a track to add to the playlist – £2 to add to the queue, £5 to get it played immediately, DJ reserves the right to reject tracks. All proceeds go to East Meon Village Hall.

Saturday, May 6:

The coronation will be shown on the Izaak Walton’s projector screen from 10am to 2.30pm.

Sunday, May 7:

Boat Race in aid of the village hall at 11.30am

HAWKLEY

Saturday, May 6:

Mini Beer Festival and screening of the coronation at the Hawkley Inn from midday until the beer runs out. Expect a great selection of local craft beers.

Sunday, May 7:

Coronation Big Lunch from 12.30pm in the parish hall. Villagers can tuck into a two-course barbecue feast while a bar and children’s activities will also be laid on. Admission by pre-purchased ticket only, priced £15 for adults and £10 for children, call Jo on 07825 327892 for more details.

LISS

Saturday, May 6:

The village’s coronation celebrations will begin with a live screening of the historic event from 9.30am at The Triangle Centre.

Focus then turns to the Memorial Garden and Newman Collard with the Liss Infant and Junior School choirs singing at the former at 1.45pm. A tree planting accompanied by the Liss Band will follow at 2pm.

A Fun on the Field event featuring performances from local groups and bands will begin at 3pm on Newman Collard with the event including stalls, food and a licensed bar. The fun will conclude with a Fun Dog Show at 4.50pm with categories including Dog That Most Resembles the King, waggiest tail, scruffiest dog and best party trick.

PETERSFIELD

Saturday, May 6:

Join friends and family for a live screening of the coronation from 9am in the Festival Hall auditorium. Refreshments will be available, no booking necessary.

Sunday, May 7:

The Avenue Playing Fields will host the town’s Community Coronation Fete. The event will showcase the diversity of the Petersfield community and provide an opportunity for residents to come together to celebrate.

RAKE

Monday, May 8:

Rake Big Picnic from midday in the grounds of the village hall. Bring your own picnic and drinks to enjoy at long tables or on blankets. Expect bunting and decorations.

ROGATE

Saturday, May 6:

Rogate pop-up pub returns to the Pavilion from 4pm to 9pm. Coronation Brew by Langhams Brewery will be available at the fun, family village event. Burgers served by Rogate Primary School.

ROWLANDS CASTLE

Monday, May 8:

Coronation May Day Picnic from midday to 3pm on the Village Green. Highlight will include Maypole dancing, a display of vintage cars, a performance by the Evolution Twirlers and plenty of food and drink options. 

STEEP

Thursday, May 4:

Steep Primary School pupils will dress up like kings or queens in blue, red and white clothing ahead of a 3.20pm picnic on the common. Parents invited to join.

STROUD

Monday, May 8:

The Stroud Village Hall and Residents Association are holding a Coronation Party from 2pm to 5pm in the village hall. Highlights will include a cake competition and design your own crown competition with crafts and games to entertain the kids. Scones and strawberries will also be served and a bar will be available. Entry is free but places must be reserved through www.stroudvillagehall.org
