It’s one of Britain’s biggest questions: jam or cream first?

Regardless of your preference, most of us love a cream tea – and especially when gin is served alongside it.

That inviting combination will be served up at Hogmoor Distillery when it hosts the Town Mayor’s Afternoon Gin Cream Tea on Sunday, April 19.

While warm sunshine can’t be guaranteed, delicious baked items and a refreshing G&T will be on the menu with proceeds going to the mayor’s charity, Peer Talk.

The previous event in August raised £200 so Cllr Catherine Clark will be hoping for a similar figure this time round.

Teas will be served in the Signal Workshop from 2pm to 5pm while tickets are priced £20 through www.hogmoordistillery.co.uk
