AS the World Cup starts today, domestic violence workers are bracing themselves for a busy month.

Statistics show that major football tournaments see a spike in domestic abuse as fans take out their frustration on their partners.

But East Hampshire District Council's domestic violence co-ordinator, Sue Sammes, says help is at hand.
