AN 18-year-old soldier from Prince Philip Barracks, Bordon, was killed and his three soldier passengers injured, two critically, when the Fiat Punto he was driving crashed into a tree in Whitehill Road, Standford, on Tuesday night.

The crash happened at 9.40pm as the Fiat was being driven north-east along Whitehill Road, close to Hollywater Farm.

The driver, from Belfast in Northern Ireland, died at the scene.
