CHILDREN had fun running wild with the Deadwater Valley Trust last week.

Countryside rangers have been busy putting on a host of events over the summer holidays to keep youngsters busy.

A nature-themed craft session last Wednesday allowed children to create their own paintbrushes and artwork using only materials they could find in the wilderness of Hogmoor Inclosure.

Deadwater Valley Trust ranger Adam Taylor said the wild time event was “very successful” with more than 40 children turning up for some outdoor fun.

“It was a great way to encourage their creative sides while also getting them to think about nature and the wild world around them,” he added.
