IT was great to meet some of the members of the hospice team and to find out about some of the work they do in the area.
And I’m looking forward to getting out and about to meet more groups, businesses and organisations in the coming weeks.
I have been editor of the Herald series for only three weeks and the welcome I have received has been fantastic.
We are planning a few changes to the paper in the coming weeks – and I want your help to do it.
The Herald is already very popular with readers – but what can we do better?
What aren’t we covering what we should? What would you like to see us cover?
What infuriates you about the paper? What features should we have? Do you want to see more nostalgia, more business news, more photos, more sport?
And what do you love? If you can’t find fault, let me know what you really like about the Herald.
Armed with your feedback, we can work to make your favourite local paper even better.
So what are we changing?
From next week, we will be using even more readers’ letters.
We will be encouraging you to send in your photographs to share with our readers. We are lucky enough to live and work in a magnificent part of the country, so let’s showcase it!
We will introduce a new page dedicated to news and photographs from charities, organisations and community groups.
So if you want to give extra publicity to your group, e-mail us at [email protected] or write to us - at 114-115 West Street, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 7HL - with news and pictures.
And we will be changing the crossword slightly, to make it easier to complete.
What else will be changing? Well, that’s up to you.
Please send me your views. It’s your paper – and we want to make sure that each week we are delivering exactly what you want to see.
E-mail me at [email protected] or write to me at 114-115 West Street, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 7HL. I look forward to hearing from you.
