HASLEMERE Vets 4, Havant Cavaliers 1 (Wessex Super Vets Alliance). A late 4.30pm start in Havant may have upset Haslemere Veterans’ Saturday afternoon routine and the Cavaliers took an early lead.

It was a wake-up call for Haslemere and David Sewell soon equalised.

The visitors got into their stride and a well-taken goal from Iain Lynch was soon followed by a rare goal for Hugh Inman from a short corner.

In the second half, Havant changed tactics and pushed forward more, but Ed Ince was dominant in the middle of defence. A second goal from Lynch wrapped up the win and keeps Haslemere fifth in the table.
