THE I’Anson management committee have announced further details of the league’s new structure for next season

Division Three will comprise 12 teams to allow Farncombe 1st Xl to enter at a suitable level and to prevent the scenario in the past where a club that is too strong for the bottom division dominates it and denies an existing team the chance of promotion.

Rather than have an extended bottom division, the competition have opted for a new Division Seven. Divisions Six and Seven will each comprise eight teams.

Farncombe 2nd XI will be placed in Division Five, while the new Tilford 3rd XI will play in Division Seven.

Clubs were asked to vote on whether it should be a 22-week or 18-week season, whereby they wouldn’t all play all the other teams twice. All but Dogmersfield responded and the vote was 11-4 for the 22-week season.
