TWO players have been suspended following an incident in the I’Anson Division One match between Puttenham and Pirbright on June 17.
The I’Anson Competition said in a statement: ‘The umpires referred an incident involving K Hussain and S Hussain, both of Puttenham, to the I’Anson’s disciplinary sub-committee. The umpires considered their actions so unacceptable that they could not be dealt with via the normal process.
The committee of Puttenham CC considered the matter and suspended K Hussain for three matches from June 25. He is free to play again on July 16. The committee also suspended S Hussain for the remainder of this current season. He will be ineligible for any I’Anson match before the first match of the 2018 season.
The DSC commends the Puttenham committee for acting so expediently in dealing with this matter and endorses the sanctions issued against each player.’
