SPINNERS had a field day as Rowledge continued their push for promotion with a six-wicket victory over Paultons in the Southern Premier League Division Two.
The visitors saw off the new ball, but then batted as if in a trance against David Lloyd, George Keeley and Ollie Baker, the spin trio sharing nine wickets. Baker was the stand-out bowler with 4-40 from his 10 overs, while Will Ryman, the only seamer to take a wicket, ended the innings in the 35th over.
Nathan Feltham, Antony Richman and Jack Murrell had all got into the 30s to ensure a respectable total for Paultons, but Rowledge, chasing 156, won at a canter.
Jake Wish (44), Sam Plater (32) and Fraser Wilson (25) made solid contributions and the home side reached the target in the 28th over.
