THE LISS Tennis Festival, featuring former Davis Cup players Danny Sapsford and Luke Milligan from Bright Ideas for Tennis, took place in perfect weather.

Mini, junior, adult and team squad coaching spaces were filled and visitors made good use of the free off-court activities.

Many tennis-themed sidestalls operated throughout the afternoon and with refreshments available on a grand scale, the event generated an excellent atmosphere.

The grand finale was to watch Danny Sapsford and Luke Milligan roll back the years with rallies and trick shots. Members of the Newman Collard, Liphook and Rake Tennis Clubs took turns to join them for exhibition matches.

Newman Collard Tennis Club in Liss were grateful to the local businesses and organisations for their support of the festival, enabling the raffle and silent auction to offer some handsome prizes.

All funds raised will be used to provide free coaching for the community. Bright Ideas for Tennis are a registered charity and provide their time free to promote tennis within clubs and communities.
