Farnham Floorball Club enjoyed a big day at Bourton-on-the-Water as the Three Counties Youth Floorball League season drew to a close.

The under-16 Farnham Fireballs continued the form they have displayed all season with three wins against opponents from the Cotswolds and London – defeating London Capitals 12-0, Ilmington Arrows 7-1 and Cotswold Hornets 4-1.

This clinched the league title for the second successive season and maintained a 100 per cent winning streak which dates back to the restart of floorball post-lockdown in late 2021. The Fireballs scored more than 100 goals this season and had the three leading scorers in the league in Alex York, Rasmus Hermansson and Daniel Killick.

The under-13 Farnham Shooting Stars produced good performances in losing efforts against London Capitals 6-3 – with a hat-trick from Ossian Tibbert-Wykvliet – and IPSE 1-0, before beating league champions Cotswold Wasps 3-2 in their last game of the season. Daniel Ahto clinched the win with a late goal.

The next stop for the Farnham teams will be the National Cup, which takes place in Cheltenham on Sunday, June 18.

The teams continue to train at Farnham Leisure Centre on Saturday afternoons.

New players aged eight years old and above – with or without experience – are welcome to attend the training sessions.
