ALDERSHOT Town lost 2-1 at Hampton & Richmond Borough in Saturday’s pre-season friendly. A young Aldershot side were defeated 5-1 at Staines Town on Tuesday.

The Shots, who recorded a morale-boosting 2-1 win over a visiting Chelsea U23 side in midweek, are home again this Saturday when Wycombe Wanderers come to the EBB Stadium (ko 3pm).

Aldershot complete their build-up with a home match against AFC Wimbledon on Friday, July 28 (ko 7.30).

• In the National League fixtures printed in last week’s Herald, Aldershot’s away match with Maidstone was mistakenly dated August 19. It is scheduled for Tuesday, August 15.

• Shots defender Will Evans has broken a toe in training.

• Alton FC entertain Eastleigh on Friday (July 21) for a friendly match on the 3G pitch at the Enclosure (ko 7.45pm).
