Badshot Lea manager Gavin Smith is looking forward to a tough run of fixtures for his side in the Isthmian League South Central Division.

The Baggies were frustrated by the weather at the weekend after their trip to Hanworth Villa in the Isthmian League South Central Division on Saturday was postponed last Friday night (November 3) because of a waterlogged pitch.

Smith took the chance to watch an upcoming opponent.

“I was checking to see what games were on and went to watch Uxbridge play against Ashford Town – which was very useful,” said Smith.

The Baggies host Marlow in the league on Saturday (3pm), before travelling to Leatherhead next Tuesday night (November 14).

“We’ve got some really tough games coming up this month,” said Smith.

“It’s going to be a real test for us and a test for the squad, but we’ll have to be better and we need to be more clinical in the final third.

“We’ve got Marlow, Leatherhead and Uxbridge in a week. It’s all to look forward to. When you’re doing well you want to win every game, but it isn’t going to happen.

“We’re going to have setbacks, we’re going to lose a game, and then it will be how we respond to losing a game.

“We’ve got a busy run of games coming up every Saturday and Tuesday – providing the weather plays ball and is okay – so there is lots to look forward to.”
