TWO of the in-form teams in the Combined Counties Premier Division South meet tomorrow (Tuesday) night when Farnham Town entertain Jersey Bulls.

The Bulls last week inflicted the first defeat of the season on Town’s neighbours Badshot Lea - and they followed up that with a 4-0 demolition of Sheerwater at the weekend.

Town, meanwhile, notched their fourth win on the trot with a 3-1 success at Molesey, fighting back from 1-0 down with three goals in the final 20 minutes.

The win lifted Town to tenth in the table, although they have played only eight matches - while their rivals have played up to 13.

Jersey, meanwhile, are 12th, but have played only six league games, winning four of them and losing only once.

Town manager Colin Millard (pictured) is looking forward to the match - and was delighted with his side’s battling performance on Saturday at Molesey.

"In the first half we lacked the intensity and grit you need to succeed in any game and at half-time the better team were in front, and deservedly so," he said.

"I needed to remind the team you get nothing in life by just turning up and you have to earn the right to overcome any opponent.

"We got the reaction we wanted in the second half and couldn’t I have been prouder of the response. It wasn’t just about grit and hard work, but combined with incisive football - all the things we have been working on from day one of this season.

"Every single game, every single week, you have to earn the right to win.

"You must out work teams. You must win the battle first before you can win the match."

The match at the Memorial Ground kicks off at 7.45pm. Admission is £7 for adults and £4 for concessions. Under-16s are free.
