READING goalkeeper Lewis Ward has extended his loan period at Aldershot Town until the end of the season.
Ward, who turned 21 last week, made 16 appearances for the Shots before being injured during the warm-up at Wrexham on February 24.
He will be eligible for the remaining National League fixtures, plus any play-off matches.
Previously a regular with the Royals’ U23 side, Ward had a 13-match loan spell in National League South with Hungerford Town earlier this season, having also spent time at Whitehawk, Sutton United, Margate and in Iceland with Fylkir.
• Aldershot’s home fixture against Gateshead has been re-arranged for Tuesday, April 17 (ko 7.45pm at the EBB Stadium).
The fixture has twice been re-scheduled due to the Heed’s involvement in the FA Trophy, and will now take place in the penultimate week of the season.
