RAYNES PARK VALE 0, BADSHOT LEA 1
BADSHOT Lea won the bottom-of-the-table clash at Raynes Park Vale with a Leke Semule goal and this second successive victory gives them the psychological boost of moving out of the bottom two for the first time in a long time.
Having played two games more than Raynes Park and Bedfont & Feltham, the teams below them, the Baggies still have much work to do to avoid relegation from the Combined Counties League Premier Division, but three more precious points put manager Michael Charles in holiday mood as he left for a short break.
“Glass of red and three points. Now I can look forward to a few days away in Val d’Isère,” he tweeted.
Semule broke the deadlock on 30 minutes and Badshot Lea also missed a penalty as they ground out a hard-fought, but deserved win.
Badshot Lea host Abbey Rangers in the league this Saturday.
