A goal in either half from Harry Stanbridge and Seamus Evans helped Liss Athletic to a 2-1 victory at struggling QK Southampton in the Hampshire Premier League Senior Division on Saturday.

Stanbridge capitalised on a defensive error to run through and tap into an empty net with ten minutes of the first half remaining, before Evans doubled Liss’ advantage in the second half with a neat finish into the bottom corner.

The hosts pulled one back through Anthony Wiltshire’s close-range volley with ten minutes to go, but Mark Glazier’s side saw the game out to claim all three points and make it back-to-back successes on the road following last week’s victory at Sway.

The result consolidates 11th spot in the Senior Division for Liss.
