• Reading goalkeeper Lewis Ward has joined Aldershot on loan until January 3. Ward, 20 years old and 6ft 6in tall, has been a regular in the Royals’ U23 side and recently returned from a 13-match spell with Hungerford Town. He previously had loan periods at Whitehawk, Sutton United, Margate and in Iceland with Fylkir.

• Aldershot Town have formally agreed the deal with Aspire Defence Services to use a range of excellent facilities at the Military Stadium on Queen’s Avenue.

Aspire manage a variety of facilities on behalf of the MOD and the training pitches, catering, physio facilities and back-office environment now available to Aldershot will be a marked improvement on the club’s current first- team facilities at Bourley Road.
