ALDERSHOT Town U18s stormed into the Hampshire Midweek Floodlit Cup quarter-finals with a superb 7-1 victory against Basingstoke on Tuesday.

Brian Galach gave the young Shots an early lead, paving the way for Montel Brown to hit a hat-trick.

Brown curled the ball in off the crossbar from the edge of the box and got the fourth goal with another swerving drive.

He had his treble just three minutes into the second half. Kian Hampshire pulled one back for the visitors, but substitute Jesse Boateng made it 6-1 and Root added his second in injury time.
