The Sailability Racing Team based at Frensham Pond will be part of the GB Hansa Class Team in the World Championships in October in Portimao, Portugal.

The team have been consistently successful in previous years and hopes are high for more success this time.

But this event is expensive for everyone involved – all the competitors must pay to get there, with personal travel costs and the transportation of boats.

So no opportunity is missed to help towards these costs. The most recent was the race night held at Frensham Pond Sailing Club where members of the club and of Sailability got together to win a fortune on the horses and also to raise funds.

Thanks are due to the many local firms who helped by providing prizes for the raffle – John Goodridge Menswear, Farnham, CE Halls Opticians, Farnham, Cineworld, Tesco, Pipasha Indian Restaurant, Churt, Peter Leete & Partners Estate Agents, Grayshott, Squires Garden Centre, Wilko, Mountain Warehouse, Birdworld, Marks & Spencer and Avalon, Churt.

The enjoyable event raised £850 in total, which will make a great contribution. Thanks are also due to those who organised the event.
