BLACKMOOR Golf Club Seniors have won the Penang Trophy, a major winter league competition played by six leadings clubs in Hampshire and Surrey.

The event has been running for 14 years and it is 12 years since Blackmoor were last victorious.

The trophy was presented to Blackmoor Seniors captain Brian Chambers at West Byfleet by the holders, Burhill Golf Club.

“This is a significant achievement for our seniors as winning this tough league has proved to be an elusive challenge for a number of years,” said Brian Chambers.

“It’s a great credit to all 18 seniors members who have played in the team this winter.”
