Farnham Golf Club’s charity pro-am raised more than £11,000 for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.

The club hosted 43 teams that each consisted of three amateur golfers and one regional PGA professional, as they competed for amateur team prizes and an individual professional fund.

Fundraising came in the form of a silent auction for golfing days and sporting memorabilia, as well as a bottle tombola, cake sale and a sweep.

The professional event was won by Richard Wallis from Canterbury Golf Club with a score of five under par. The team event was won by a group consisting of two Farnham members, Richard Salvage and Sandeep Bacheta, who were joined by Tony Kelly and professional Daniel Brown.

Club captains Dave Brown and Debbie Hardiman thanked everyone who made the day a success.
