SPECIAL events will be taking place throughout the year to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Petersfield Golf Club.

The Seniors organised an Invitation Pairs Stableford on May 25. Seniors’ captains or their deputies from the 18 clubs which play matches against Petersfield Seniors were invited to compete in the competition. Each guest was paired with a Petersfield member.

The winners were Ken Hammond (Hartley Wintney GC) and Derek Harrison (Petersfield) with a combined score of 73 points, two clear of the runners-up.

At the post-competition lunch, club captain Mark Sissons gave a short talk about the history of Petersfield Golf Club from its beginnings in 1892.
