LESS than 30 seconds into this Hampshire 1 match, Alice Toynton missed a golden chance to put Haslemere in front.

But Haslemere continued their adventurous attacking play and this time Toynton found the back of the net.

Daisy Ashworth and Jess Edwards kept the home side moving forward with fine balls down the flanks and Heidi Wells scored the second goal to put Haslemere in control.

Just before half-time, Trojans won a short corner, but goalkeeper Helena John and defenders Mel Knight, Abbey Walhen, Becs Mitchell and Kate Hutchings made sure that Haslemere took a 2-0 lead into half-time.

Haslemere increased their attacking momentum on the restart and a strong drive from Sarah Elworthy and fine cross from Mitchell enabled Julia Williams to score a well-worked goal.

Trojans pulled one back on a quick counter-attack, but Toynton hammered home her second goal.

Haslemere’s press was proving effective, with Hannah Cross, Celia Hall, Donna Reed and Elworthy communicating well, and Alex Hardy added a fifth goal after a scramble in the circle.
