Alpha Trampoline Club gymnasts are celebrating after the first Club Cup and Regional Challenge Cup competition of the year in Eastleigh on February 17.

The club had 44 competitors across the three Club Cup levels and four Regional Challenge Cup levels, several of whom were competing in trampoline and double-mini trampoline.

Trampolining is an Olympic sport but for many Alpha gymnasts competition begins at Club Cup level in the seven to eight age group.

Fantastic performances saw many Alpha gymnasts complete personal bests and achieve performance goals. All the Alpha team members supported each other and there was an awesome club atmosphere on show.

The first competition of the season was also a qualifying event for the Club Cup and Regional Challenge Cup Championships, which will be held in two months.

Alpha gymnasts competed in 59 categories and hit the qualifying score in 40 of them. All 15 double-mini trampoline gymnasts who competed qualified.

Notable mentions also go to the 34 Alpha medallists, who ranged across the club and regional levels and from the seven to eight age group all the way up to the oldest gymnasts aged 17 and above.

On trampoline they were: 1st – Thomas R, Charlie D, Regan B, Jacob C, Georgie A, Finn J, Bea P-K; 2nd – Lucas A, Ben E, Elliot E, Harrison W, Austin P, George I-B, Leo G, Mia T, Lucy C; 3rd – Timo F, Thomas G, Cobus B, Eleanor F, Finley H, Teddy H.

And on double-mini trampoline they were: 1st – Thomas R, Luca T, Summer M, Amelie R, Freya B, Charlie D, Elliot E, Ed B; 2nd – Lucas A, Jacob C; 3rd – Gracie H.
